VLOG - It's all about Rainbows!

Hi friends!

It's Video Blog Hop (VLOG) day! The participants in this Global SU Share Fair VLOG Hop are located across the globe. This month our theme is Rainbows. Each of us created a project with a rainbow of Stampin' Up! colors - Real Red, Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight, Garden Green, Pacific Point, Rich Razzleberry and Blackberry Bliss.

Rainbow Watercolor Wash Background Technique

My project involves creating a rainbow background featuring a watercolor wash technique using Stampin' Write markers (or reinkers with a Blender Pen). I paired an image from the In the Moment stamp set with a striped pattern from the Sweet Talk designer series paper (DSP) pack that reminded me of rainbow stripes.

I couldn't decided which Sweet Talk DSP pattern I preferred so I made cards using both patterns - one with Highland Heather stripes and the other featuring a variety of colors. Please leave me a comment and tell me which do you prefer.

VLOG One Sheet Wonder Sketch Challenge - It's All Sunshine & Rainbows!

Hi friends!

It's Video Blog Hop (VLOG) day! The participants in this Global SU Share Fair VLOG Hop are located across the globe. This month were holding a Sketch Challenge. Each of us took the challenge to create a project using the same sketch.

One Sheet Wonder Cutting Template

I started with the Sunshine & Rainbows 6 x 6" designer series paper (DSP). I love the bright and cheerful patterns. And even better it's free during sale-a-bration (SAB) with a qualifying order through February 28th! It's so versatile, too. Even though it coordinates with the Rainbow of Happiness bundle from the January - June Mini catalog, my projects use other bundles and stamps.

I made 3 cards - each for a different occasion - with the DSP pieces I cut using the One Sheet Wonder cutting template. 

The first card is a Valentine using the reverse side of the DSP which coordinated perfectly with the Love & Happiness bundle and its Bouquet of Love dies; the Always in My Heart stamp contributed the small stamped hearts on the front and greeting on the inside. My second card features another SAB item, the Friendly Hello stamp set part of the Friendly Hello stamp set and coordinating 12 x 12" DSP bundle; the stamp and DSP bundle can be earned for free with a qualifying order. No Longer Taking Backorders
As of December 1st, 2021, Stampin' Up no longer takes backorders. Stampin Up anticipates that this change will be in effect for the foreseeable future. Global supply chain difficulties worsened in 2021, and they’ve culminated in what is now considered a global supply chain crisis affecting businesses worldwide—and Stampin’ Up! is no exception. In September Stampin' Up lowered their backorder thresholds in an effort to address global changes. Industry experts are projecting that the global supply chain crisis is unlikely to improve for some time to come. By eliminating backorders Stampin' Up hopes to eliminate frustration from the unpredictability of product availability, especially when products have been ordered and paid for but are not in stock.

VLOG Hop - Gifting a Gift Card Bagalope

I like giving gift cards. They are always the right color, size and fit 😉 Since they are my favorite I am sharing a east way to gift a gift card. Using my favorite holiday designer series paper, Whimsy & Wonder, I created a bagalope. The bagalope is super easy to make, just start with an envelope!

I usually prefer traditional Christmas colors. This year the pastel colors in the Whimsy & Wonder DSP really spoke to me and it's become my go for Christmas crafting. The Blushing Bride Frayed ribbon ices the cake.

When I started creating my mini desk calendar, I started with the lovely Expressions in Ink designer series paper (DSP). I'm loving the Expressions in Ink DSP - it's my most favoritist paper in the Annual Catalog! There is so much to love about it - the water color patterns, the gold veins and patterns, the colors and the florals patterns. It brings so much Wow to any project!

When I was considering which technique to share VersaMark came to mind. I'm a big fan of VersaMark and it's versatility. While my project highlights the Emboss Resist technique, it also includes a technique for using VersaMark and clear embossing powder with water-based inks to "emboss with color."
