Christmas High Tea Party

I was some how lucky enough to fall into a group of 10 women who like to get together and have tea every few months. Within this group there are neighbors, sisters, friends, and co-workers. Sometimes one of the group will host or sometimes we will visit a tea house. The most recent gathering was for a Christmas high tea at one of the homes. It was fabulous! Our tea hostess happens to be a fellow Stampin Up demonstrator and she incorporated some Stampin Up products in her theming of a white, silvery Christmas.

Photos of this awesome tea do not do justice to the real life experience, but I tried to capture the beauty and elegance anyway!

Green Grinchy Grinches

Hi stamping friends!

I saw these on the Stanpin Up demonstrator site and had to make them immediately, especially since I was feeling very grinchy! I shared the bounty with my sorority sisters, friends, and co-workers.  I hope they brought a little holiday cheer to the people who touch my life.

These are too darn cute! Amazing what you can do with a few punches and cardstock! I had several people comment about the time it took to alternate the M&Ms colors in the 1x8" bags. It went surprisingly quickly and the effect is well worth a few moments of paying attention to the pattern.

Busy stamper--that's me!

Hi stamping friends!

I've been stamping up a storm to give hand-stamped cards and cookies to friends and family.

cards
I made sets of 5 cards to give to 11 of my sorority sisters (Beta Sigma Phi's rock!). Each set had a birthday, Valentine, Easter, Halloween, and Christmas cards with matching envelopes. I love matching envelopes!! Check the cards out...what do you think?

And stamped cookies...using Stampin Up's Sweet Pressed cookie stamp I stamped on shortbread and sugar cookies (used the recipe that came with the set). They are decorated with silver and gold dragees and edible sugar. I gave these cookies as gifts and the recipients were impressed!

Love is in the air challenge

Hi stamping friends!

I'm entering 2 cards I made in a contest with a Valentine's Day theme. My entry is 2 Valentine's waterfall cards I made. I gave one to my husband last year for Valentine's Day. He loved it and took it to work to display on his desk.

But there is more to the story....we were at his office holiday party a few weeks ago when I overheard him telling a co-worker that I am a professional stamper and I even give stamping classes. I was thrilled that he sees my stamping business not as a hobby that I dabble in, but as a true craft in which I have some expertise. Anyway he showed his waterfall card to his co-worker the following week.

I just love Stampin Up's elegant lines embossing folder and use it every chance I get! The colors are mainly pink pirouette, cherry cobbler, and early espresso with the I heart hearts stamp set.

The heart punch I used with this set is on the Stampin Up online clearance rack because it has the old lever-style body; the heart punch is available in the Idea Book & Catalog with the new, flat storage body style. There are many other items on the clearance rack, some up to 80% off! This sale runs through January 5th, 2012. Quanties are limited and can only be purchased online. Once they're gone, they're gone--so shop today! Check out my online store and the clearance rack.

Worldwide book-a-thon, join the fun!

Hello!

I am participating in a worldwide Stampin Up book-a-thon, and I’ve been challenged to book as many workshops as I can by midnight tonight, Tuesday, December 6th.

If you live in the Baltimore-Washington area, you might be interested in hosting a Stampin Up party with me in the new year. You can choose the theme--some possibilities are holiday thank you cards, valentines, Easter cards, or a 3D project (my favorite!). Each of your guests would make the project you select and I would make a couple of other items showcasing a variety of stamping and scrapbooking ideas using Stampin Up products. You can pick any day through March 31st to hold your party.

There are prizes for the book-a-thon.....so I simply have to get a few workshops on my calendar! Will you help me win a prize? I’ll make you a cute gift for helping me out -- your choice of either 4 cards, a squash book, or a mini scrapbook (you choose the occasion/theme); photos of samples are below.

Stampin’ Up recently refreshed its hostess program and you’ll love the hostess benefits (free stuff AND 1/2 price items with qualifying shows). Would you love to get FREE stuff, but worried that your place isn't set up for an in-home party? Don't fret, you can host at my place!
Contact me TODAY to set the date for your party--we both can get cool, free stuff!
