VLOG Hop - Techniques: Emboss Resist

Hi friends!

It's Video Blog Hop (VLOG) day! The participants in this Global SU Share Fair VLOG Hop are located across the globe in Ireland, the UK, and the US. Our theme this month is techniques. Each VLOG participant is sharing a video showing a different technique used in our projects.

Emboss Resist Technique

When I was considering which technique to share VersaMark came to mind. I'm a big fan of VersaMark and it's versatility. While my project highlights the Emboss Resist technique, it also includes a technique for using VersaMark and clear embossing powder with water-based inks to "emboss with color."

Paper Crafting Blog Hop - Double Oval Punch for the win!

Welcome to our monthly Paper Crafting Blog Hop! This month we are sharing projects that feature Stampin' Up! punches. These projects were created by talented Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators from around the world. Each month we share projects with various design styles. You may have arrived from Sue Boerner's blog. What a great project!

My project features one of my favorite punches, the Double Oval punch. It's paired with two of my favorite sale-a-bration (SAB) items, the Beautifully Penned designer series paper (DSP) and the Be Dazzling specialty paper to create a special Thank You card. Both papers are free with a qualifying order through September - and free Stampin' Up stuff is always welcomed at my place!

I usually use both punch shapes from the Double Oval punch because I like the layering aspect with the small oval setting on top of the larger scalloped oval. However, for this card, I used the small oval for my sentiment and the same punch shape for the layer since I wanted to keep the focus on the beautiful DSP and sparkling Be Dazzling paper.

I added a few touches of color with my Blends Pens directly to the Beautifully Penned DSP and let the paper show it self off.

WooHoo Weekend - It is Here!

Hey friends!

It's here! The weekend where me and 11 other Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators from across the globe join forces to bring you creative and inspiring content; the fun just started, watch live tonight or on replay. For this project, I started with the idea of colorful rainbow trees. I incorporated the In Good Taste designer series paper (DSP) to give an artsy background. From there my project seemd to come together quickly into a slim line card.

Today's project reminds me of a still, quiet morning with fog drifting through the trees. The color scheme is monochromatic using Soft Suede, Crumb Cake and Sahara Sand.
