Paper Crafting Blog Hop - Seasonal Branches Flowers!

Hi Friends!

Welcome to our monthly Paper Crafting Blog Hop! The hop this month our projects feature flowers using products from the 2023-2024 Annual Catalog.

Each hop participant, talented Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators from around the world, has created an inspiring project with a floral theme. You may have arrived from Sue Boerner's blog. Her project is wonderful!

My project features the Seaonal Branches stamp set and coordinating Seaonal Branches dies.

I used several Blender Pen techniques on this card that I showcased during my WooHoo Weekend presentation on July 14th. I stamped the flower images using Night of Navy ink then went over the flower images with a Blender Pen. This technique reactivates the dry ink to color the flowers. For the second technique, I colored the bird using several watercolor pencils from the Watercolor Pencils Assortment 2 then went over the colors with the Blender Pen to give the bird a watercolor look.

Were you aware of the versatility of Blender Pens? Are you a Blender Pen fan? Leave me a comment, I'd love to hear how you use Blender Pens.

Non-Holiday Leaves of Holly Card

Hi friends!

The Leaves of Holly bundle from the July-December Mini Catalog is one of my most favorite stamp set and die bundles. Although you may think it is solely a Christmas holiday stamp set, I have found it great for making all occasion cards.
Leaves of Holly bundle #159608

I recently did a Facebook live where I stamped this all-purpose Thinking of You on Your Special Day card.
All-Purpose Card in Melon Mambo and Polished Pink

By stamping holly leaves close together I created a textured background that can be easily used for all occaision cards that are definitely not Christmas cards. I used monochromatic colors of Melon Mambo and Polished Pink with a pop of Tuxedo Black Memento ink as a accent.

Here are more birthday cards I made with the Leaves of Holly bundle.

Paper Crafting Monthly Blog Hop - Forever Fern Thinking of You

Hi Friends!

Welcome to our monthly Paper Crafting Blog Hop! The theme of the hop this month is Thinking of You.

This month, each hop participant, talented Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators from around the world, has created an inspiring project to send a thinking of you wish. You may have arrived from Tracy Held's blog. What a great design!
Forever Fern #152559

For this card, I wanted to use the Forever Fern stamp set to create a bright thinking of you card. Once I knew the color I would be using, it was easy to decide to use the 2022-2024 In Color designer series paper (DSP) to add a bit of interest. Sweet Sorbet is definitely a sweet color! Leave me a comment I'd love to see your thoughts on this In Color.
In Color 2022-2024 #159253

Starting with a stamp set and a color made it easy to create this bright and cheery thinking of you card.

I stamped with Sweet Sorbet ink onto the cardstock base of the same color and on white cardstock to create a focal piece. The thinking of you sentiment is from the Nature's Prints stamp set and is matted with Sweet Sorbet cardstock and adhered over a piece of woven ribbon that I frayed. Fine Sparkle Adhesive Backed Gems add a touch of bling.

Thank you for hopping around the world with us. Keep hopping to see even more inspiring thinking of you cards! Click on the Next Blog image below to go to Traci Gardner's blog.

VLOG Hop - Techniques: Emboss Resist

Hi friends!

It's Video Blog Hop (VLOG) day! The participants in this Global SU Share Fair VLOG Hop are located across the globe in Ireland, the UK, and the US. Our theme this month is techniques. Each VLOG participant is sharing a video showing a different technique used in our projects.

Emboss Resist Technique

When I was considering which technique to share VersaMark came to mind. I'm a big fan of VersaMark and it's versatility. While my project highlights the Emboss Resist technique, it also includes a technique for using VersaMark and clear embossing powder with water-based inks to "emboss with color."

Day 3 Sale-a-bration Focus - Oh So Ombre DSP with Touch of Ink

Hi friends!

I'm focusing on the wonderful sale-a-bration items as February winds down and there just a few days left to snag yourself them for free while you can!

And yet a third card that brings together 2 sale-a-bration items, the groovy Oh So Ombre designer series paper (DSP) and the popular Touch of Ink stamp set. This card makes me smile!!

The first time I used this design, I made it using the Rococo Rose pattern from the Oh So Ombre DSP pack with Merry Merlot cardstock and a different sentiment layer. I blogged about that card here, click here to see the post.
