Monthly Paper Crafting Blog Hop - Translucent Florals

Hi Friends!

Welcome to our monthly Paper Crafting Blog Hop! This month our theme is flowers galore.

Each hop participant, talented Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators from around the world, has created a paper craft project featuring flowers to inspire you. You may have arrived from Annette McMillan's blog. What an inspiring project she shared!

My project features the Translucent Florals stamp set and coordinating Dies. I paired these stamps and dies with even more flowers by using the Unbounded Beauty designer series paper (DSP).

Rustic Harvest Diamond Easel Card

Hi Friends!

The Rustic Harvest designer series paper (DSP) is the focus of another Thanksgiving card. This time it's paired with a fun fold diamond easel card. Shout out to Tami White who shared several diamond easel card projects and inspired me to create my own! Click here to see Tami's blog post about the diamond easel fold and her samples.

As I noted in previous posts, the great thing about the Rustic Harvest DSP is that it has beautiful, colorful fall images on one side while the other side is black and white. Today's project, shows off both the beautiful fall colors and the black and white imagery.

Although the stamp set that the Grateful Heart sentiment on the front came from is retired (Banner Year), the Holiday mini has several stamp sets, including the Painted Pheasant (#159846) that can be sustituted to make this card.

Paper Crafting Blog Hop - Fall Beauty of Friendship

Hi Friends!

Welcome to our monthly Paper Crafting Blog Hop! This month we are sharing projects with a Fall theme. Each hop participant, talented Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators from around the world, created a Fall-themed project. Each month we share projects with various design styles. You may have arrived from Sue Boerner's blog. I enjoyed her project!

My project features the Beauty of Friendship stamp set to create a tree with fall-colored leaves. Although this stamp set is bundled with coordinating Beautiful Trees dies, for my project I only used the stamps. I paired a sentiment from Banner Year stamp set with texture from In Good Taste designer series paper (DSP) to create a woodsy feel.
Beauty of Friendship bundle #155834

Banner Year stamp set #158239
In Good Taste DSP #152494

You'll want to break out the hot apple cider when you get this card in your mailbox!

But wait! It gets even better - it's a fun fold card and there's a baby squirrel inside!

The Beauty of Friendship is a unique 2-step stamp set. The base image for the tree leaves adds depth and contrast even before stamping the separate leaf highlight image on top. I stamped the tree leaves just once with Mango Melody ink and it looks like I stamped off because of the lighter and darker Mango Melody leaves, but I didn't - the stamp did it. Very cool! I used a Cajun Craze marker directly on the stamp in a few spots toward the bottom before stamping the leaf highlights to give my tree a late fall look. Then I added a bit of Misty Moonlight around the tree with a blending brush.

I think this card would work well as a Thanksgiving card using either the With a Grateful Heart or Happy Thanksgiving sentiments from the Banner Year set.

Do you send Fall or Thanksgiving cards or give a card to your Thanksgiving host? Please leave a comment sharing how you use Fall-themed cards. Thanks for stopping by!

Monthly Paper Crafting Blog Hop - Thinking of You

Hello friends!

Welcome to our April Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrators Blog Hop focusing on products for celebrating the women in your life. If you arrived from Sandy Ward's blog, you saw her wonderful Bloom By Bloom project!

My "girly" project is a 2-fer...a card with a small gift box, both featuring Highland Heather cardstock; the floral card features Highland Heather Gingham Gala designer series paper (DSP) and the gift box, a mini pizza box, is just the right size for a gift card or other small gift.

Are you a fan of the Highland Heather color? I'd love to hear what your favorite color of the moment it is. Leave me a comment and let me know what color you're currently favoring. As you see below, Highland Heather is a current go-to for me!

Monthly Paper Crafting Blog Hop -- Sale-a-Bration Birthday ideas

Hello friends!

Welcome to our March Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrators Blog Hop focusing on products from the 2019 Sale-A-Bration (SAB) and the new Occasions catalogs for celebrating birthdays. If you arrived from Sandra Roberts' you saw her fabulous birthday project!

During SAB you can earn FREE items with every $50 order...and there are many items to choose from! Once again fellow Stampin Up demonstrators from around the world are participating in a hop this month sharing wonderful birthday projects!

My project is a quick and easy birthday card featuring the SAB Painted Seasons bundle which includes the Painted Seasons stamp set and the Painted Seasons Designer Series Paper (DSP).
NEWS FLASH.......the DSP is now available outside of the bundle as an individual SAB item, free with a $50 purchase! How sweet is that!

My inspiration was a card I saw on Sandy Hancock's blog (click here to see it). I loved the colors as well as it's quick-and-easy design.

I added the flower image from the stamp set as a background on the Petal Pink card base and on the stitched circle framelit. Stampin Up creates products that coordinate--paper, ink, and stamps. They do the hard work of coordinating so I can make a super easy-to-create card in minutes!!!

Do you find it easier to create when products coordinate? Leave a comment, I'd love to hear your thoughts on coordinating products!
