Rustic Harvest Diamond Easel Card

Hi Friends!

The Rustic Harvest designer series paper (DSP) is the focus of another Thanksgiving card. This time it's paired with a fun fold diamond easel card. Shout out to Tami White who shared several diamond easel card projects and inspired me to create my own! Click here to see Tami's blog post about the diamond easel fold and her samples.

As I noted in previous posts, the great thing about the Rustic Harvest DSP is that it has beautiful, colorful fall images on one side while the other side is black and white. Today's project, shows off both the beautiful fall colors and the black and white imagery.

Although the stamp set that the Grateful Heart sentiment on the front came from is retired (Banner Year), the Holiday mini has several stamp sets, including the Painted Pheasant (#159846) that can be sustituted to make this card.

Global SU Share Fair Blog Hop - Whimsy & Wonder card

Hi friends!

In January I participated in a Global SU Share Fair Facebook group live stamping event. I was one of 16 SU demonstrators from around the world who participated. Each demo also created a tutorial for her project which was consolidated into a PDF document containing all 16 projects.

We broadcast on Facebook in the Global SU Share Fair group about every other month; videos are available on replay if you miss the live stamping. The next live stamping day is scheduled for November 6th. Save the date for some amazing quick packaging ideas!

This month we have CASE'd (Copy And Share Everything) a project from the January tutorials but have given them a Christmas or Winter theme using different cardstock and designer series paper (DSP). Follow this blog hop and you'll see many fabulous projects. You may have arrived from Shirley Merker's blog -- her CASE project is wonderful!

Angie Oldenburg's Global SU Share Fair Forever Greenery project inspired my Christmas CASE card.

I CASE'd Angie's tutorial using the Whimsy & Wonder designer series paper (DSP) with the Banner Year stamps set for a Christmas sentiment. I love the sparkles this DSP adds with its foiling patterns! I topped it off with even more bling by placing an iridescent Wonderful Snowflake on top.

Paper Crafting Blog Hop - Fall Beauty of Friendship

Hi Friends!

Welcome to our monthly Paper Crafting Blog Hop! This month we are sharing projects with a Fall theme. Each hop participant, talented Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators from around the world, created a Fall-themed project. Each month we share projects with various design styles. You may have arrived from Sue Boerner's blog. I enjoyed her project!

My project features the Beauty of Friendship stamp set to create a tree with fall-colored leaves. Although this stamp set is bundled with coordinating Beautiful Trees dies, for my project I only used the stamps. I paired a sentiment from Banner Year stamp set with texture from In Good Taste designer series paper (DSP) to create a woodsy feel.
Beauty of Friendship bundle #155834

Banner Year stamp set #158239
In Good Taste DSP #152494

You'll want to break out the hot apple cider when you get this card in your mailbox!

But wait! It gets even better - it's a fun fold card and there's a baby squirrel inside!

The Beauty of Friendship is a unique 2-step stamp set. The base image for the tree leaves adds depth and contrast even before stamping the separate leaf highlight image on top. I stamped the tree leaves just once with Mango Melody ink and it looks like I stamped off because of the lighter and darker Mango Melody leaves, but I didn't - the stamp did it. Very cool! I used a Cajun Craze marker directly on the stamp in a few spots toward the bottom before stamping the leaf highlights to give my tree a late fall look. Then I added a bit of Misty Moonlight around the tree with a blending brush.

I think this card would work well as a Thanksgiving card using either the With a Grateful Heart or Happy Thanksgiving sentiments from the Banner Year set.

Do you send Fall or Thanksgiving cards or give a card to your Thanksgiving host? Please leave a comment sharing how you use Fall-themed cards. Thanks for stopping by!

Paper Crafting Blog Hop - Oh So Ombre DSP Love

Hi friends!

Welcome to our monthly Paper Crafting Blog Hop! This month we are sharing projects using products available from the Sale-a-bration (SAB) brochure. These projects were created by talented Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators from around the world. Each month we share inspiring projects with various design styles. You may have arrived from Maureen Rauchfuss’ blog. What a fabulous project!

My project features my favorite SAB designer series paper (DSP), Oh So Ombre. I love the ombre shading, the colors, and patterns! It's all that and a bag of chips 😊 plus the fact that it is free makes it even better!

My project features the Rococo Rose patterns from the DSP pack accented with Merry Merlot and white cardstock. I chose a sentiment from the carried over (Yay!) Banner Year stamp set that I layered using its coordinating Banners Pick A Punch. Gilded gems add a bit of bling.

Thank you for hopping around the world with us. There are even more inspiring projects so keep hopping! Click on the Next Blog image below to hop over to Joy Nelson's blog to see her fabulous project.

Paper Crafting Blog Hop - Pop-Up Gift Card Holder for the Holidays!

Hello friends!

Welcome to our monthly Paper Crafting Blog Hop! This month our theme is holidays and includes holiday-themed projects created by talented Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators from around the world. Each month we share fun projects and various design styles. You may have arrived from Sue Boerner’s blog. Her holiday project was fabulous!

I love cards that have an interactive element to them. When I saw a pop-up gift card holder I knew I had to make a Christmas version! My Christmas version was inspired by Libby Fens' tutorial (click here to see it).

My project started with the Snowflake Splendor designer series paper (DSP) and coordinating Winter Snow embossing on an oval die cut. I added a greeting from the versatile Banner Year stamp set and layered the stamped greeting using the Pick a Label punch.

Snowflake Splendor DSP and Winter Snow embossing folder

I've been a bit obsessed with adding metallic mesh ribbon to my holiday cards to add a touch of icy sparkle. For this card, I folded it over then over again to get a narrower ribbon which I tied around the DSP since I didn't want the ribbon to show when the card was opened. Blue Adhesive-Backed gems added more sparkle.

The snow theme was carried inside with the Snowman Season stamp set and Pacific Point ink.

Thank you for hopping around the world with us. There are even more holiday-themed projects so keep hopping! Click on the Next Blog image below to hop over to Amber Meulenbelt's blog to see her holiday project.

Paper Crafting Blog Hop - Gilded Autumn Fall

Hello friends!

Welcome to our monthly Paper Crafting Blog Hop! This month were highlighting Designer Series Paper (DSP) and celebrating Fall. All the blog posts in this hop feature projects created by talented Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators from around the world, so you'll see Fall themes that may differ from our typical US themes. It's fascinating! Each month we share fun projects and various design styles. You may have arrived from Sue Boerner’s blog. Her project is fabulous!

I love fun folds and when I saw a pop-up mini cube card I knew I had to try my hand at creating one!

I used Gilded Autumn DSP with Cajun Craze and Early Espresso cardstock. It's a color combination that reminds me of Fall leaves and these colors coordinate perfectly with a pattern found in the Gilded Autumn DSP pack.
