Throwback Thursday - Beautiful Wings

Hey friends!

Throwback Thursday...from 2012!

I'm sharing a card today I made using Stampin Up's Sale-a-Bration designer series (DSP) Everyday Enchantment; since that paper is now retired, you'll need DSP that has similar colors. I was inspired by a card made by Chat M. Wszelaki.

It's a very pretty card and easy to put together.

Ingredients
Very vanilla cardstock (cs) – 8.5 x 5.5” (card base), 1.75 x 5 1/8”, 3-1” squares, scraps
· Pool party (PP), Lucky Limeade (LL), Calypso Coral (CC) cs, 1” squares of each
· Calypso Coral cs 4 x 5.25”
· Everyday Elegance DSP 1.75 x 5.125”

Accessories
· Punches – postage stamp, 1” square, scallop border, 1.25" circle, and 1 3/8” circle
· Beautiful wings embosslits
· dimensionals
· rhinestone jewels
· 3/8" taffeta Crumb Cake ribbon
Crumb Cake ink

Recipe
1. Using Beautiful wings embosslit with the Big Shot machine, cut 1 polka dot butterfly of each PP, LL, and CC cs.

2. Punch one postage stamp of each PP, LL, and CC.

3. Punch one long edge of the CC cs using the scallop border punch; adhere to the front of the very vanilla card base with the scallop edge facing down.

4. Adhere the very vanilla rectangle piece near the top of the CC piece; adhere the DSP piece just below it, leaving a very small space between the 2 pieces.

5. Adhere a 1” square very vanilla square on each of the postage punched pieces; place a dimensional behind each and adhere to the very vanilla rectangle, spacing evenly.

6. Place dimensionals behind each butterfly and adhere on top of each of the matching postage pieces; place a rhinestone on each butterfly.

7. Stamp a sentiment on a scrap very vanilla piece using Crumb Cake ink and punch out a circle with the 1.25” punch; adhere to a circle of CC cs punched with the 1 3/8” circle punch.

8. Place a dimensional behind the circles and adhere to the card front.

9. Tie a bow and attached above the circles.

I'd love to see or hear what you have been working on! Leave me a comment telling me about your latest crafting projects. Thanks!

Cards in the Mail kits -- from my craft room to yours!

Hello friends!

I'm now providing Card Kits in the Mail. I've done all the work so you can do the easy part -- make cards!

While we aren't able to stamp in person we can stamp with the help of the US Postal Service. I'm offering a Card Kit in the Mail. Each kit comes with all the pieces to make 4 cards, each of a different design. Cost includes postage, cardstock, dies cuts (or punched), embellishments, envelopes and instructions.

You supply stamps, ink and your favorite adhesive. I've designed these cards so most just need stamped sentiments that you likely have in your stamp collection; see a peek of the finished cards below.

Cost is $15 for a kit that makes 4 cards; I'm also offering a kit that make 8 cards (2 each of 4 designs) for $25. I will start mailing kits on Saturday, May 2nd; as I'm launching card kits in the mail, there are a limited number of kits. Contact me today to get your kit in the mail!

Card kit in the Mail - make 4 cards!
I started a stamping Facebook Group, Stamping is Fun. I share stamping projects, tips, and news. I'd love to have you join the fun. Find me on Facebook as Terri Kerfoot Stewart and look for my Stamping is Fun group. And I'm doing Facebook Live videos, too!

I'm learning a new skill while I'm social distancing!!! Last week was a steep learning curve as I got ready to present a live stamping session to an international stamp camp via Facebook Live (called a Share Fair). It went so well I've committed to another on May 15th! If you haven't already joined the Global SU Share Fair Facebook group, where this stamping sessions take place, I encourage you to join today and follow me as I learn in public. 🙂

Hi friends!

I have some news to share!

As always, Stampin’ Up! is committed to making a difference in our global communities and caring about people first. As part of their Making a Difference program, they’re offering an opportunity to support organizations that are helping COVID-19 frontline responders and communities vulnerable to the pandemic through the purchase of a digital stamp set, Share Sunshine.

When you purchase the Share Sunshine PDF download, Stampin' Up! will donate 100% of the proceeds to COVID-19 efforts. (Click here to see all the images in this stamp set.)

The Share Sunshine PDF Download is a digital stamp set that’s packed with both lighthearted and heartfelt sentiments and imagery relevant to the unique COVID-19 and social distancing situation we’re currently experiencing. You can use the download in your cardmaking and papercrafting projects. Simply print the imagery on cardstock and cut it out using a paper trimmer, punches, or dies. Since we are physically distanced from each other, now is a perfect time to share sunshine with our friends and family by sending cards! Buy the digital download here. This stamp set will be available through June 2, 2020.

The following charities are the sole beneficiaries of each purchase—that means every cent goes to these organizations:
  • United Way Worldwide’s COVID-19 Community Response and Recovery Fund (click here for info on this fund). This fund supports communities across the world struggling to cope with COVID-19. United Way is working to protect the most vulnerable by helping them access food, shelter, vital information, and more through United Way’s global network.
  • World Health Organization’s COVID-Solidarity Response Fund click here for more info. This fund supports the Strategic Preparedness and Response Plan, which includes:

Throwback Thursday - Journals with lots of Wow!

Hello friends,

Throwback Thursday....post from 2011! My daughter's friend recently asked for an autograph book for her kids to take to Disney World 😊

My stamping club will be making journals at our first club meeting in January. These journals can be used for anything---notes to yourself, shopping lists, favorite thoughts, things to do, quotes, event planning, vacation memories, etc.

Over the summer I saw a composition book someone had altered and made into a journal. I became obsessed and had to make one! My first attempt looked like this ...
Then I made journals for my friends....I forgot to take photos once they were finished but you get the idea from these work-in-progress photos below.

Before our Disney vacation, I made these autograph books with smaller composition books...like I said I was obsessed!

My friend Susan made a bunch in December---gifts for her daughter's colleagues and her granddaughters asked to have one. They are fabulous! She gave me permission to share the photos of the journals on my blog. I hope they inspire you. Enjoy!

Retiring lists released today, don't miss out!

Hi friends!

They're here! The retiring lists for both the annual catalog and the mini catalog are now available. And, although we have to say good bye to some favorites, some retiring products are discounted -- and I love a bargain!

Sadly, while the retiring stamps are guaranteed to be available through May 22, all other items, due to high demand and limited supply, are only available while supplies last. Shop now and don't miss out!

You may note the Stampin Blends markers are on the list - they are NOT retiring, only their packaging is retiring! However, in the new catalog they will only be sold in combo sets of light and dark. Now (today!) would be a good time to buy any single Blends markers, to complement any singles you have 🙂

The April host code is JDPN2HAA.

The links to both retiring lists are below; if you would like the excel versions, contact me and I'll email it directly to you.

I've started a private Facebook group, Stamping is Fun, for my customers. I'm learning in public as I share stamping projects via live videos. I'd love to have you join the group--and your inky friends!--and share the stamping fun. Hit me up or request to join. Find me on Facebook as Terri Kerfoot Stewart.

Speaking of Facebook Live, I've jumped in with both feet and will be presenting my own live project during an all-day Facebook stamp camp this Saturday, April 25th at 4:30pm. (Click here to see my blog post with details) Me and 15 other demos from around the world (!) are presenting stamping projects that our customers can stamp along with. Watch live or on replay, whatever works for your schedule. Find me on Facebook and request to be added to the group or request to join the Global SU Share Fair group. And tell your inky friends! I can only add my customers and downline, no other demos, sorry.

I'm happy to answer any questions you may have, just give me a holler.

Card Blitz - Everything is Rosy with foil edged cards

Hi friends!

Today I'm sharing more cards I made and sent for the card blitz I created. I sent full-sized cards to my family, friends, and customers that include a smaller note card inside for them to mail to someone they care about. Those blog posts are here and here.

I used the Everything is Rosy medley (available on the clearance rack at fabulous discount, while supplies last!) pairing the medley pieces with gold foil edged card bases -- even their accompanying envelopes are foil edged.

The medley coordinates with Melon Mambo and Night of Navy and makes wonderful cards that are easy to pull together since the medley includes designers series paper (DSP), ribbon, coordinating tags, and stamps -- and much more!

I used some odds and ends to create this note card....
The note card came printed with a water color wash in Old Olive. I added a piece of Best Dressed DSP, ribbon, an everyday label punch with a greeting from the retired Incredible Like You stamp set, and retired candy dots. And there you go, a simple, cheery card!

I'd love to help you plan and create your own card blitz. Contact me today!

Card Blitz - Butterfly Gala and Hugs from Shelli

Hi friends!

As some of you know, I've created a card blitz, sending full-sized cards to my family, friends, and customers that include a smaller note card inside for them to mail to someone they care about.

I'm sharing photos and information about the cards I made and mailed. I hope you'll be inspired to create your own card blitz to send hugs through the mail.

I love the colors on this card -- so springy! I stamped the butterfly images on an oval die cut from the Stitched Shapes dies using the Butterfly Gala and colored them with Stampin Blends markers (alcohol markers). The greeting is from the Everything is Rosy stamps from the product medley of teh same name (available on the clearance rack at a fabulous price, while supplies last!). And voila, a card that will cheer up any mailbox.

Butterfly Gala stamps with Everything is Rosy sentiment

The note cards I'm showing today are from a Paper Pumpkin kit, the May 2019 Hugs From Shelli kit -- yes, I'm finally getting around to making some older kits! I loved this kit so much that I was "saving" it for a special occasion, and that occasion has arrived.

The Hugs from Shelli kit made 12 note card-sized, 3 each of 4 designs. Paper Pumpkin is a monthly subscription that brings everything you need to complete that month's project -- stamps, ink, cardstock, embellishments, and adhesive. The only thing you will need to supply is scissors. And there's no craftermath with left overs to deal with! Contact me today to subscribe and you can start your own card blitz.

Now on to the note cards....the sentiments in the kit stamp set are perfect for my card blitz (Hello, Hugs, Dear Friend).

I stamped the stamped floral images peeking out from under the center panel

elegant with just a bit of stamping (splotches and sentiment)

more splotch image stamping

I stamped the bird images and sentiment

Stamping is fun, especially when you get to brighten the day of someone you care for!
