Paper Crafting Monthly Bog Hop - Sun Prints with Inspired Thoughts Sympathy Card

Hi Friends!

Welcome to our monthly Paper Crafting Blog Hop! Our theme this month is sympathy cards. 

This month, each hop participant, talented Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators from around the world, has created an inspiring sympathy project. You may have arrived from Juilia Mazur's blog. What a great design!

I have fallen in love with the Sun Prints collection found in the new Stampin' Up! Annual catalog. The designer series paper (DSP) is so fun! Maybe it brings back memories of the cyanotype paper I used in school experiments? I paired the DSP with the Fern 3D embossing folder from the Collection with the Inspired Thoughts stamps along with 2 different punches to create my sympathy card. My card was inspired a card Claire Daly posted on her blog.

New Catalog Open House, Saturday, May 14th!

The new Stampin' Up Annual Catalog is here and I'm holding an in-person event to celebrate!

My project was inspired when I wanted to take small treats to a gathering I was invited to with a few friends. I started with one of my current favorite designer series papers (DSP), Hand-Penned, then added in coordinating cardstocks. Everyone loved these cute treats!

Paper Crafting Blog Hop - Beautiful & Fun Designer Series Paper (DSP)

Welcome to our monthly Paper Crafting Blog Hop! This month we are sharing projects that feature designer series paper (DSP). These projects were created by talented Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators from around the world. Each month we share projects with various design styles. You may have arrived from Sue Boerner's blog. What a great project!

My project features the You're a Peach DSP paired with the coordinating Sweet as a Peach bundle. I love the You're a Peach DSP! The colors are lovely and the designs have a juicy, summery feel, perfect for birthday cards, thank you notes, or wishing someone a peachy day 😊

My card uses two patterns from the yummy You're a Peach DSP pack - stripes and baby peach images. So cute! I repeated the colors in the DSP, using Calypso Coral cardstock for my card base and a Stitched so Sweetly die-cut in White. 

For the peach die cuts, I used the new In Color, Pale Papaya card stock, for the peach bodies and Old Olive card stock for the leaves and stems. The peach stamp was inked with Pale Papaya then the edges were daubed with Calypso Coral before stamping on the card stock; the leaves and stems were stamped using Old Olive ink. I went over the stems with a Soft Suede marker to darken them.
