Snowflakes - Alternative Paper Pumpkin HoHoHo Kit Card

Hi Friends!

I'm sharing an alternate Christmas card project featuring the October 2022 Paper Pumpkin kit, HoHoHo. I hope this alternative card sparks your creativity, too!


The little snowflake from the stamp set in the kit caught my eye and I couldn't wait to create a festive Christmas card with it. I decided to incorporate Orchid Oasis ink and a Orchid Oasis pattern found in the In Color designer series paper (DSP) pack.


I started with a Balmy Blue card base, added a layer of Basic White cardstock and a piece of  Orchid Oasis DSP. After stamping a few snowflakes and sentiments this card was just about done. Quick and easy with a bit of bling!

Sweet Sunflowers Alternative - Hello Poppin Dots!

Hi Friends!

I'm back with another(!) project featuring elements from the August 2022 Paper Pumpkin kit, Sweet Sunflowers. This one goes way "off road"! I saw the sunflower center stamp image as a dot and I got creative. I hope this alternative sparks your creativity, too!

Once I couldn't unsee the sunflower center image as a dot, I added some bright colors from the new Stampin' Up 2022-2023 In Color collection to create my Poppin' Dot card. I paired Parakeet Party and Tahitian Tide cardstock and inks, then stamped a few Sweet Sorbet ink dots and topped it off with a Hello dot. Isn't it fun!

I fussy cut out the dot after tracing the sunflower center stamp on Parakeet Party cardstock then stamped on it with the Hello stamp. To add a bit of interest, I tied Soft Sea Foam Seam Binding ribbon around the stamped card front.

Sweet Sunflowers Christmas Card

Hi Friends!

Today I'm sharing another project featuring elements from the August 2022 Paper Pumpkin kit, Sweet Sunflowers. The Mossy Meadow watercolored card base inspired me to create a Christmas card. I hope this alternative sparks your creativity!

When I saw the Mossy Meadow card base it reminded me of my favorite designer series paper (DSP) in the Jul-Dec Mini catalog, the Boughs of Holly DSP, and I knew I wanted to make a Christmas card. 

I cut the card base and trimmed it to work as a layer then added a gold hive panel that was a free gift in the kit. Perfect! To complete the Christmas festive card, I used the Leaves of Holly stamp and die bundle.

Sweet Sunflowers Alternative Card

Hi Friends!

Today's project features the stamp set from the August 2022 Paper Pumpkin kit, Sweet Sunflowers. I loved the sunflower stamps so much I had to make a card with them. I hope this alternative inspires your creativity!

I started with the ink colors that came with the kit - Crushed Curry and Soft Suede. For the card base I used So Saffron as I wanted the Crushed Curry sunflowers to pop against the lighter background. I think it worked!

I'm starting with the July 2022 Sending Good Thoughts kit. 

I made 2 alternative cards this month. The first card sticks with the nautical theme of the kit with a ship inside of a bottle. I used a couple of different techniques on this card - masking, daubing ink, blender pen and a couple of others. Yes, I might have gone way off-road!!!

The second card is much simpler. My idea was a graduation-themed card. I added a pattern from the Rings of Love designer series paper (DSP) that is in the Sale-a-bration flyer.
