This month, each hop participant, talented Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators from around the world, has created an inspiring project to send a congratulations wish. You may have arrived from Tracy Held's blog. What a great design!

I love the Ring of Love designer series paper (DSP). I started with a piece with images of houses on it. My plan was to make a new house congratulations card. But a funny thing happened - the reverse side caught my attention and I went in a totally different direction. Has that ever happened to you?

I ended up with this all-occasion congratulations card. The pattern was so striking it needed very little embellishment. Do you agree? Leave me a comment sharing your thoughts. Thank you!

I layered the Congratulations sentiment from the Hand-Penned Petals stamp set on an Evening Evergreen cardstock base punched with the Double Oval Punch; I daubed a bit of Night of Navy ink around the edges of the punched sentiment before adhering Soft Succulent Shimmer ribbon to the card front.

I made 2 alternative cards this month. The first card sticks with the nautical theme of the kit with a ship inside of a bottle. I used a couple of different techniques on this card - masking, daubing ink, blender pen and a couple of others. Yes, I might have gone way off-road!!!

The second card is much simpler. My idea was a graduation-themed card. I added a pattern from the Rings of Love designer series paper (DSP) that is in the Sale-a-bration flyer. I stamped the Stylish Sketch image with Evening Evergreen ink then went over it with a blending pen to give it watercolored feel. I colored the berries in with soft suede ink and the blender pen. The Rings of Love designer series paper (DSP) coordinated well with stamped image. Both the stamp set and the DSP are Sale-a-bration items.
