Paper Craft Blog Hop - Masculine Card Along These Lines

Hi Friends!

Welcome to our monthly Paper Crafting Blog Hop! This month our theme is products from Stampin' Up's new 2025-2026 Annual Catalog and new Online Exclusives! Join the hop for inspiring projects showcasing the newest products.

Each hop participant, talented Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators from around the world, has created a paper craft project that will inspire you. You may have arrived from Sur Boerner's blog. What a fabulous project she shared!

My project features the Along These Lines stamp set from the new catalog, found on page 95, and a new Online Exclusive stamp set and die bundle, More Messages. Both are very versatile and can be used to create cards for many occasions.
Along These Lines #165352

I was inspired by the card shown on the same page. I changed my card up a little by using a different image and different cardstock from the catalog sample card as I wanted to create a masculine card.
Along These Lines catalog sample, page 95

I used the tiger image from the stamp set to stamp on pieces of Blueberry Bushel and Misty Moonlight cardstock and the Smoky Slate cardstock base in the same color inks.

This card was very easy to assemble! I added a few pearls from the Basic Gray and Smoky Slate pearls pack. I think this card would work well as a masculine card, perfect for a birthday or Father's Day card.

The greeting is from a new Online Exclusive stamp set and die bundle, More Messages. It offers many great sentiments and a variety of die shapes. Stamp and cut once and you have a a pile of ready-to-go sentiments. What a time-saver!

Paper Crafting Blog Hop - Legendary Dad

Hi Friends!

Welcome to our monthly Paper Crafting Blog Hop! The hop this month features masculine cards created using products from the 2023-2024 Annual Catalog.

This month, each hop participant, talented Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators from around the world, has created an inspiring masculine project. You may have arrived from Sue Boerner's blog. Her project is wonderful!

My project features images and sentiments from the Legendary Ride stamp set as well as a Happy Father's Day sentiment from He's the Man stamp set.
Legendary Ride #160754

He's All That #159071

The large motorcycle image from the Legendary Ride stamp set takes center stage in this quick and easy masculine card. I added some interest by using the Timeworn Type 3D embossing folder after stamping the motorcycle image. The white cardstock banner is a scrap but the Legendary sentiment fit perfectly! After stamping the Dad sentiment on another scrap, I fussy cut the word Dad and added dimensionals.
Legendary Ride card with Timeworn Type 3D Embossing

Am I the only one who feels so accomplished when I use scraps? Please leave me a comment with your thoughts on using scraps.

For embellishments, I added Rustic Metallic Adhesive-Backed Dots.

Although, I used a Father's Day sentiment from the He's All That stamp set on the inside, this card could easily be turned into a masculine birthday card by using the Ride On It's Your Birthday sentiment from the Legendary Ride stamp set.

Paper Crafting Blog Hop - Masculine Soaring Confidently

Hi friends!

Welcome to our monthly Paper Crafting Blog Hop! This month the men in our lives are the inspiration for the projects we are sharing. These projects were created by talented Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators from around the world. Each month we share projects with various design styles. You may have arrived from Sue Boerner's blog. I love her Sailing Home project!

My project features the Soar Confidently stamp set. This is a versatile stamp set! Perfect for masculine cards and fabulous graduation cards, too!
Soar Confidently stamp set

The sentiments in the stamp set are perfect for any male in your life, whether to point how wonderful they are or to wish a Happy Father's Day.

My card was inspired by France Martin's Soar Confidently stamp set tutorial. She shared great tips for creating a water color background. Her tips are easy to follow - just check out my background! My water color background was created with Crumb Cake ink; I stamped the plane and sentiment on the front with Early Espresso ink.

To add interest, I flicked ink from an Early Espresso marker creating a distressed look.
Early Espresso marker flicking adds a distressed look

I stamped the plane image on the inside of the card in crumb cake. I like decorating the inside of cards as well as the outside. I figure I already have the stamps and ink out, so why not. And it's easy! What are your thoughts on decorating the inside? I'd love to hear your thoughts, please leave comment!

Retiring but still Inspiring Day 7 - Waterfront

Hi friends!

Some of my favorite stamps and dies are retiring after May 3, 2021. To wish them a fond farewell I'll be blogging about how awesome they are. I think they are so awesome that you'll be inspired to purchase them before they are gone for good!

The Waterfront stamp set makes it super easy to create a fun, watercolor scene - even if you are not a water color artist. Any who knows me knows I love the easy button. This stamp set is the easy button for water color scenes. I will miss it!

Father's Day blog hop

Image may contain: text

Hello friends!

Are enjoying our Father's Day themed blog hop? I hope so! I’m hopping with fellow Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from all over the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom. You may have arrived from Elizabeth Green's blog. What a wonderful project she shared!
My project features Guy Greetings stamp set. I'm a little sad it's retiring because it has been my go to stamp set when I needed a masculine card for the men in my life. Birthdays, holidays, Yay days, You're the best days, etc it was there for me, just like those fabulous guys in my life. I'll miss it!
My project was inspired by a shadowbox card made by Kathleen Wingerson; click here to see her card.

I made some minor changes to Kathleen's design and used the same design to make a more generic masculine card. Thanks to Kathleen for sharing her design and video!

Thick White Cardstock (cs), 4.25 x 11"
White cs, 3 x 3" and .75 x 3 1/8"
DSP 4.25 x 5.5" (I used a retired neutrals DSP, but any white and black DSP would work; current products include Petal Passion, Pick A Pattern, or Tutti Frutti DSP stack).
Black cs, 3.5 x 3.5" and 7/8 x 3.25"
Smokey Slate cs, 3.25 x 3.25"
window sheet 3.5 x 3.5" (trim after lining up stamped images)
inks: Memento black (car on white cs), Stazon (for window sheet), Smokey Slate

Please leave a comment, I'd love to hear from you. Are you going to miss Guy Greetings, too?

Thanks for hopping with us. Now click on the next image to hop to Jackie Bultje's blog to see her project.

Father's Day cads and crabs

Hi stamping friends!

Last Tuesday I held my first 3 for $5 dollar card making class. The theme was Father's Day cards (or could be made as masculine birthday cards) and all featured Stampin Up's Open Seas stamp set. My stamping friends Maggi, Darlene, Christie, and Tangee (check out her amazing website)  joined me for this class and made these cards. The next 3 for $5 night is Tuesday June 26; the theme is juvenile birthday cards. Contact me today to RSVP! I'll post samples soon.

I hope everyone had a super weekend. Here in central Maryland the weather was uber fabulous! Temps were in the low 70s with low humidity--and on Sunday it was actually chilly sitting in the shade. Truly spectacular!!

We celebrated Father's Day with Maryland steamed crabs and a cook out. It was delightful to spend time with our family. Maybe you would like to see how fabulous?

May club projects

Hi stamping friends!

It's nearing the end of May and I haven't posted the projects I showed my monthly stamp club how to make. Then again I haven't posted much lately...it's been a busy time of year, but I have stamped and promise to share photos soon  my recent stamping efforts!

Meanwhile, here are the May club projects:

Father's Day card - features Stampin Up products Baja Breeze, Chocolate Chip, Not Quite Navy (NQN), and Very Vanilla card stock, and Open Seas Stamp set & All Holidays stamp set. The stripes embossing folder, NQN ink and baja breeze ink. This card was inspired by a card made by Shari Dudek and posted to her blog SharisStampPad blog, click here to check it out.

Beau Chateau Designer Series Paper (DSP), 5 petal punch and the coordinating (and retiring) Triple Treat stamp, and rhinestome brads. The cardstock--Marina Mist and Very Vanilla-- coordinates with the DSP. This card was inspired by one I saw on Cathy Bethel's MaineMountainStamper blog; click here to see Cathy's card.

The wedding card doesn't have much stamping, it relies on punched hearts for the focal point. The colors are Basic Black and Whisper White cardstock with Stazon black ink for the greeting. I saw this card on the Stampin Up demo website; it was made by Teresa Hyde. I loved it and could not rest until I had copied it!

We also made a fabric project using Stampin Up's Deck the Halls fabric--a quick and easy tissue cover. I found the instructions on pinterest; click here to visit Regena's The Distracted Domestic blog to see the tutorial.

I'lll be starting a new monthly stamp club in July. If you live in the Baltimore-Annapolis area, give me a call or drop me an email to learn more about the club. Join today so you can make cool projects like these!
