Journey to a New Craft Room - Part 2

 Hi friends!

If you watched my Facebook lives, you've probably heard me mention that a house renovation forced me out of my old crafting space in to a cramped corner.
Temporary Craft Space

Today I'm sharing the progress in creating my new crafting space.

Since the last update, the area rug arrived, the new curtains were hung, I added a treasured family memento, and the large furniture cabinets are in place. It's so exciting seeing my vision coming together!

Cherished Family Memento Hung

My mother immigrated from Denmark and we are close with our family there. This cross stitch piece was made by my aunt and gifted to my mother. It's a map of Denmark noting many historical places, some I have visited. I am so happy I can now display it where I can see it every day!

Waiting for the crafting table!

I have the crafting table stored away and will soon move to its new home. Then the moving in and unpacking work will begin!

Halloween Fun Fold Card

 Hi friends!

I'm in a challenge to grow my YouTube channel by uploading a card tutorial every week. I hope you'll join me each week as I make progress toward my goal!

The fun fold card I made this week features items from the 2024-2025 Annual catalog. I paired the Throughout the Year stamp set with the Distressed Tile 3D embossing fold to add a spooky feel.
Throughout the Year stamp set #162312
Distressed Tile 3D embossing folder #162189

With this stamp set and embossing folder I created this fun fold Halloween card.

Since it is Halloween, I have a treat! I also made a mini pumpkin treat box. It's not a trick, it's a treat! I was inspired by a pumpkin tutorial Gwen Zimmerman posted on a demo-only site.

Journey to a New Craft Room - Part 1

Hi friends!

If you watched my Facebook lives, you've probably heard me mention that a house renovation forced me out of my old crafting space in to a cramped corner.
Temporary Craft Space

Today I'm sharing my new crafting space and my plans for it.

The dining room was primarily my craft room and only used as a dining room when we hosted an occassional family dinner - I needed a craft room more than a dedicated dining room! The renovation was planned to enlarge the kitchen into the former dining room area and to knock out a few walls out to enlarge the floor plan.

Before the renovation, the dining room doubled as my craft room. The dining room is where I stamped, held stamping classes and did Facebook lives from. For storage, I had two shelving units plus crafting supplies stored in other areas of the house.

Loveliest Tree Fall Card - Paper Crafting Blog Hop

Hi Friends!

Welcome to our monthly Paper Crafting Blog Hop! This month our theme is "Season Where You Live". Since our hop participants come from North America and Australia there will be a variety of seasonal projects! Are you ready for some fabulous projects?

Each hop participant, talented Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators from around the world, has created a paper craft project that will inspire you. You may have arrived from Shirley Merker's blog. What an fabulous project she shared!

It's fall in my neck of the woods and I'm was thinking ahead to Thanksgiving when creating my card. My card features the Loveliest Tree Dies which I paired with a sentiment from the Unbounded Love stamp set and paper from the Country Woods designer series paper (DSP) pack.
Loveliest Tree Dies #163715
Country Woods DSP #163393

I tried to capture the changing leaves that occur in fall. I die cut tree tops from Wild Wheat, Peach Pie, and Pumpkin Pie cardstock and used sponge daubers to add coordinating ink to each die cut. It brings color variation which I think makes them look more realistic. The backgound paper is from the Country Woods DSP pack; I used a different pattern for the tree trunk die cuts.

I stamped a sentiment from the Unbounded Love stamp set in Pretty Peacock ink on Lost Lagoon cardstock, then added a bit of Crumb Cake baker's twine. What do you think? Does this card invoke fall and it's changing leaf colors?

Leave me a comment letting me know your thoughts on this simple fall card.

Thank you for hopping around the world with us. Keep hopping to see even more inspiring cards.
