New & Improved Ink Pads and Ink
  • The new ink cases are less confusing to open. Opening the new ink pad case is now easier and more intuitive—they open like a compact, just lift the lid to open. The cases have a tighter fit between the lid and the base. With the new design, the lid doesn’t accidentally become disconnected which was a common problem with the old case style. At first the new cases are tight, with use the lid will be easier to slide open and close.
  • They're stackable! The ability to stack the cases makes them easier to store and transport. SU designed a nub in each bottom corner that fits nicely into the “dimple” on the top of another new case.
  • Include improved labels and stickers. The case redesign includes a front label with a larger color swatch, making it easier to see the ink’s color. Each case continues to comes with color stickers that you can place on the end of each case to easily identify the ink’s color at a glance. Plus, cases now come with a new color sticker you can place on the inside of the pad, so you can easily distinguish the ink’s color when the case is open. I love this feature!
  • Improved ink! SU added defoamer to the ink ingredients because ink would sometimes bubble (especially on new pads and with lighter colors). When this happened, the ink wasn’t as even and smooth when stamped as SU would like.

Father's Day blog hop

Image may contain: text

Hello friends!

Are enjoying our Father's Day themed blog hop? I hope so! I’m hopping with fellow Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from all over the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom. You may have arrived from Elizabeth Green's blog. What a wonderful project she shared!
My project features Guy Greetings stamp set. I'm a little sad it's retiring because it has been my go to stamp set when I needed a masculine card for the men in my life. Birthdays, holidays, Yay days, You're the best days, etc it was there for me, just like those fabulous guys in my life. I'll miss it!
My project was inspired by a shadowbox card made by Kathleen Wingerson; click here to see her card.

I made some minor changes to Kathleen's design and used the same design to make a more generic masculine card. Thanks to Kathleen for sharing her design and video!

Thick White Cardstock (cs), 4.25 x 11"
White cs, 3 x 3" and .75 x 3 1/8"
DSP 4.25 x 5.5" (I used a retired neutrals DSP, but any white and black DSP would work; current products include Petal Passion, Pick A Pattern, or Tutti Frutti DSP stack).
Black cs, 3.5 x 3.5" and 7/8 x 3.25"
Smokey Slate cs, 3.25 x 3.25"
window sheet 3.5 x 3.5" (trim after lining up stamped images)
inks: Memento black (car on white cs), Stazon (for window sheet), Smokey Slate

Please leave a comment, I'd love to hear from you. Are you going to miss Guy Greetings, too?

Thanks for hopping with us. Now click on the next image to hop to Jackie Bultje's blog to see her project.

All the supplies used in my design can be ordered through my online store, click here.
If you don't already have a Stampin' Up! demonstrator, I would be happy to have you join my Stamping is Fun team. Give me a holler and let's chat about it.

Happy Birthday blog hop

Hello friends!

I hope you are enjoying this Happy Birthday Blog Hop. I’m hopping with fellow Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from all over the United States, Canada, and overseas---it's a world-wide hop!

Today’s hop features Stampin' Up! products used to celebrate Happy Birthdays. It seems like I always need a birthday card for someone special -- this is the card!

The Heartfelt Blooms stamp creates variations of color without stamping off. Ink it up and stamp. I love the easy button and this stamp is the easy button! Stampin Up is in the process of patenting this unique type of stamp image called photo-realistic.

Sale-a-bration items I used for this birthday card...

Stop back tomorrow and I will share measurements and tips for this card.

Please leave a comment, I'd love to hear what you think about the Heartfelt Blooms stamp and the other sale-a-bration items.

Thank you for hopping with us. Now please click below to hop to Joyce Hall's blog. Joyce has more inspiration to share with you!

Sale-a-Bration Anything But a Card Blog Hop

Hello friends!
I hope you are enjoying our Sale-a-Bration Anything But a Card Blog Hop. I'm hopping with fellow Stampin' Up! demonstrators from all over the world.
Today's hop features products from Sale-A-Bration 2018 that can be earned with qualifying purchases. My hop entry is below so let's get to it.
I chose to make a tag using the Amazing You stamp set. Although I love that there are coordinating thinlits also available as a SAB level 2 option -- Yay! -- I used my heat gun for some embossing and the Garden Trellis embossing folder to add texture. The color focus is on Berry Burst and silver, they are elegant together!

Check back tomorrow to get the measurements and a description of how this tag came together.

Then I paired this bad boy up in with several packaging ideas......
Silver Gabled Box

Embossed treat bag
Glassine treat bag

I think this tag would also work as a focal point on a card....very versatile!!!

Make sure you keep hopping along to see all the other Sale-A-Bration projects! Click on the “next” badge below to visit Shirley Merker's blog.

Want to make your own tags? Of course you do! Below is a quick shopping list for making this tag and will earn you the Amazing You stamp set for free! (click on each item)
