Hello friends!

It's 4th of July! A day to celebrate---our freedoms, our service men and women, our veterans, and our way of life. What better way to do that than to throw a parade!

If you don't have a parade near you, enjoy these photos I took at our local parade this morning. Our parade draws participants from a variety of groups....veterans, politicians, neighborhoods, local businesses, schools, families, churches, car enthusiasts, sports teams, scouts, etc.

Diaper cake for a baby shower gift

Hi friends!

A few weeks ago I saw a really super cute baby shower gift made from disposable baby diapers. So when a shower was planned for a colleague I decided to make my own. I searched youtube for directions to make a cake of my own; I mostly followed this video. While my first effort isn't too shabby, it does have a noticeable tilt; I think if I practice a bit more I could make a pretty awesome diaper cake!

I used some retired Stampin' Up! designer series paper (DSP) (raspberry tart) and coordinating ribbon as accents. The happy couple are expecting a girl but mom is not a fan of pink, so I chose colors that complemented rose red, with kiwi kiss being the main color....what do you think of my first effort??

I used a box of 106 size 1 disposable diapers and decorated the layers with a set of bath toys and stretchy headbands that had small bows.

Dryer Sheet Class

Hey friends!

I wanted to share the cards we made at my recent dryer sheet class...each card included dryer sheets either as a flower accent or as a layer. I made video tutorials for these cards; when I find a minute I'll post them.....meanwhile take a look at the cards---

Patriotic Mosaic Madness...

I was inspired by a card I found on Pinterest made by Karen Gibson. This is the first card I made with the Mosaic Madness stamp set-- and I love the card so much I making it as one of my Stampin' Up! swaps!

Papillion Potpourri...

Another card inspired from my Pinterest habit. Lately, pool party has been a go-to color and I worry that I am so addicted that I may be unable to make cards with other colors! But pool party may soon be replaced in my affections by the new, and totally beautiful, Coastal Cabana....

• Christmas card monthly hostess club -- will meet on Tuesdays 7 to 9pm, July 9th, Aug 6th, Sept 10, and Oct 15; limited to 4 members. The current session of the monthly hostess club is drawing to a close with the last meeting in June; the next 6 month offering begins in July. Club members commit to attending 6 monthly club meeting, 1 club gathering each month, July through December, and place a minimum $25 order each month; members receive hostess benefits from one of the club meetings (of at least $25 in FREE products).

I am also offering a Christmas card club again this year; this club meets 4 months, July through October. At each club meeting, club members make 4 cards---you'll have 16 beautiful, one-of-a-kind hand-made cards ready to go into the mail by November! Members place a minimum $35 order each month and receive hostess benefits from one of the club meetings (at least $25 in FREE products).
