My Birthday fun!

Hey friends!

I had a wonderful birthday. The celebration went on for days! My cube-mates had decorated my desk with flowers and balloons...

 

and had left me a birthday button to wear---and of course, I did wear it!

But then had a brain cramp when someone unexpectedly wished me a happy birthday, wondering how they knew! We had ice cream and cake, too!!

But wait there is more...when I arrived home my sweetheart gave me roses and more balloons!

I had planned a stamping evening on my birthday because stamping is my favorite thing to do. Here's the Make & Takes I prepared....

Reason to Smile card

My oldest came to stamp, too---an extra special treat for me!

My sweetheart treated my stampers and me to a Carvel ice cream cake--yummy!!

But the celebration didn't end there....the next day my little daughter painted and decorated my toes before my sweetheart took us to lunch. Awesome cream of crab soup and crab cakes!

The celebration wasn't over since I had dinner the next week with my best girlfriends. I feel so spoiled!! I captured the event with a few photos...

A stamped card---and a reason to smile!

Hey stamping friends!

Stamping Up is giving customers who place a $50 order in July a reason to smile because they can get the exclusive Reason to Smile set set for just $5! This stamp set will not be offered for sale again.

I created this card to give to my monthly stamp club members with their orders to show them just one way this stamp set could be used. I hope you like it! Feel free to email me with any questions about this project.

Ingredients:

• Reason to Smile stamp set
• Whisper white cardstock (CS), 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scraps for 3 - 1" squares
• Marina Mist cs, 2 1/4" x 5 1/2", scraps for 3 - postage stamp punches
• Marina Mist ink pad
• Adorning Accents embossing folder
• white bakers twine
• 1" square punch
• postage stamp punch
• dimensionals

Recipe:

1. Stamp flower image with Marina Mist ink 3 times; punch out using the 1" square punch.
2. Punch 3 postage punches out of Marina Mist cs. Adhere flower images to the Marina Mist punches.
3. Emboss the 2 1/4" x 5 1/2" piece of Marina Mist using the Adorning Accents embossing folder.
4. Wrap the bakers twine around the embossed Marina Mist cs and tie a bow. Adhere to the white cardbase.
5. Place dimensionals behind each of the flower squares and adhere to the card front.

I'll be attending the Stampin Up convention later this week. I can't wait to share all of the cool crafty stamping things I'll see while there!

Tuesday is 3 for $5, plus more stamping news

Hey stamping friends!

I hope you are able to squeeze in some stamping time into your summer fun time. I spent last week in beautiful Gaffney, SC with my family--and I am happy to report that I finished my swaps for Stampin Up convention during my vacation!

This Tuesday, July 17th is 3 for $5 and we will make 3 Christmas cards; class is 7 - 9pm but you you can complete all 3 in about an hour. • Tools & Techniques Club - Club members will learn tips and techniques for a variety of tools--brayer, aqua pen, watercolor wonder crayons, crystal effects, blender pens, etc. The club will meet once a month, July through December. Members are guaranteed to receive at least $25 in Stampin Up hostess benefits during their hostess month. Space is limited! First class is Tuesday, July 24. Contact me today to reserve your spot!
• Christmas club - you'll be done with your cards in October! This club meets 4 times (once a month, July through October) and makes 4 Christmas cards at each meeting. Hi stamping friends!

We survived the storm that rolled through central Maryland on Friday evening although we were without power for 36 hours and just got our internet connection back today Which is why this reminder about the tomorrow's 3 for $5 card making class is so late. We'll make 3 birthday cards. I hope you can join me for the fun! Late RSVP's very acceptable!
