Paper Crafting Blog Hop - Farewells to Retiring Dragonfly Garden

Hi Friends!

Welcome to our monthly Paper Crafting Blog Hop! The hop this month features products retiring from the the Annual Catalog or the January through April 2023 Mini Catalog.

This month, each hop participant, talented Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators from around the world, has created an inspiring project featuring their favorite bundle. You may have arrived from Krissi Hannahs' blog. Her project is wonderful!

My project features the Dragonfly Garden stamp set which is retiring from the Annual catalog as well as designer series paper (DSP) that is retiring from the Jan - April Mini catalog.
Dragonfly Garden #154411

Enjoy the Journey 12 x 12" DSP #160586

I paired the Enjoy the Journey coastal cabana DSP pattern with cardstock in the same color then layered the DSP with Bermuda Bay cardstock - a retiring color.

This quick and easy card really highlights the beautiful dragonfly images in the Dragonfly Garden stamp set. I added some interest by using the coordinating Dragonflies punch to punch the stamped dragonfly image and give it vellum wings. I colored the dragonfly with bermuda bay blends - also retiring- before adhering the wings and popping it up with dimensionals.

The sentiment comes from another retiring stamp set, Beauty of Friendship, stamped with retiring bermuda bay ink. For embellishments, I added retiring Pastel Pearls to the dragonfly (which also covers the glue dot adhering the wings) and my favorite Iridescent Rhinestones.

Thank you for hopping around the world with us. Keep hopping to see even more inspiring cards featuring retiring products. Click on the Next Blog to continue the hop.

St. Patrick's Day Card Featuring Lucky Country Bouquet 4-Leaf Clover

Hi Friends!

Today I'm sharing a lucky St. Patrick's Day card featuring several products from Stampin' Up's January to April 2023 Mini catalog.

I created a lucky 4-leaf clover using the Country Bouquet stamp and punch bundle (#160383) then added a little bit of interest with a circle die cut of the leafy vellum pattern in the Vellum Basics pack (#160839). In the Enjoy the Journey designer series paper (DSP) pack (#160586), I found the perfect pattern using Garden Green and Coastal Cabana for my card front. And I was lucky (yes, I mean it!) to have the Framed Florets stamp set (#161815) that contributed the luck greeting for the front.

Sale-a-bration Sending Support with Enjoy the Journey Designer Series Paper

Hi friends!

Sale-a-bration (SAB) is the best time of year! Place a $50 order and you earn a free item from the SAB flyer. And other items from the Annual catalog and the Jan to Apr 2023 Mini catalog have been added to the SAB list! Everyone knows free items stamp and look better 😊

My original card featured the beautiful floral images in the SAB Dainty Flowers designer series paper (DSP). Click here to view the original card and post. Unfortunately, that DSP is no longer available. So I substituted the Enjoy the Journey DSP from the Mini catalog which is now included as a SAB item. I paired it with sentiments in the Sending Support stamp set which is a SAB item. The images and sentiments work very well together.

Sending Support #160822 (FREE with a $50 order)

Together they make a perfect card to let someone know you care.

I picked a piece of the Enjoy the Journey DSP that had a stylized pine tree pattern, then added a Scalloped Contours die cut with a coordinating geometric pattern from the DSP stack for a bit of interest.

Then it was super easy to add a stamped greeting from the Sending Support stamp set on the front and the inside.

My original card featured the Dainty Flowers DSP. Which version do you prefer? Leave me a comment with your choice.
