Monthly Paper Crafting Blog Hop, celebrate Sale-A-Bration!

Hi friends!

I hope you are enjoying our Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrators Blog Hop highlighting products from the 2019 Sale-A-Bration (SAB) catalog that you can earn for FREE! Fellow Stampin Up demonstrators from all over the globe are participating in this hop.....we have many cool projects to share with you!

You may have arrived from Sandy Ward's blog. Her So Hoppy project is fabulous!

My project uses the Lovely Lattice stamp set. I attended Stampin Up's big birthday bash in Orlando in November and got a sneak peek at this stamp set; I was smitten. Floral stamps generally don't speak to me, but this one did!

This stamp set is so versatile--perfect for birthdays, Mother's Day, thinking of you, cheery hello, etc!

As my card came together, it whispered to me that it was a Get Well card. And I couldn't help but add some of my newest craft items from the Occasions and SAB catalogs. The checked Designer Series Paper (DSP) is Botanical Butterfly--a free SAB item, the Feel Better sentiment from the Humming Along stamp set and the yummy All My Love ribbon combo also from the Occasions catalog, as is my newest framelit love---rectangle stitched framelits!

Do you agree this is definitely a Feel Better Soon card? I envision it sitting on the table next to the sick bed, bringing a little sunshine to someone feeling under the weather 😃

I was inspired by a triple panel card created by Jeanie Stark; click here to see Jeanie's card and her tutorial on her Just Stampin blog. I tweaked the card size a bit from Jeanie's tutorial. I went with a standard A2 size, scoring at 1.25, 2.25, 6.25, and 7.25"; the front panel is 3.5 x 4" and the back panel is 3.75 x 5.25".

I embossed the image with black embossing powder, used clear Wink of Stella with Lovely Lipstick, Old Olive, and Crushed Curry ink pads to color the flowers.
Sentiment from the Well Said stamp set on the back side of the card

I'd love to hear what you liked about my design. Thanks for hopping with us!

  1. Beautiful job coloring on the flowers. And the contrast with the black background is very effective.

  2. Love your card and the fact that we both used the same stamp set but different stamps. i haven't done a triple banner card but will now have to try it. Also, I love that you said the card "whispered" to you as to what kind of card it should be.

  3. Your card is gorgeous. The colours work perfectly together... the Lovely Lipstick pops against the black. Love it.
