Retiring but still Inspiring Day 5 - Woven Heirlooms

Hi friends!

Some of my favorite stamps and dies are retiring after May 3, 2021. To wish them a fond farewell I'll be blogging about how awesome they are. I think they are so awesome that you'll be inspired to purchase them before they are gone for good!

Today's focus is on one of my most favorite-ist stamp sets, Woven Heirlooms stamp set. I fell in love with the font, the sentiments and images. This stamp has it all! I hope you love the projects created with this set as much as I do.

Paper Crafting Monthly Blog Hop -- Fall/Thanksgiving Projects

Hello friends,

Welcome to our Fall/Thanksgiving Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrators Blog Hop. Our projects focus on celebrating the change of seasons and being grateful. If you arrived from Katie Johnson's blog, you saw her wonderful project!

My project incorporates Fall colors in a card that expresses gratitude. Although it features Crumb Cake, Pumpkin Pie, and touches of gold, it uses several items with Christmas in their name, proving their versatility!

When I was designing this card, I wanted to create a card that could be sent in the Fall, not only at Thanksgiving. I had seen Libby Fen's Halloween card (click here to see it) and was inspired to include my favorites--Woven Heirloom Frame dies and 3D embossing folders.

For accents, I wanted to include the leaf sprigs in the Christmas Layers dies. Then I saw a card Vicki Boucher made with vellum springs that she sponged with Delicata Celestial Copper metallic ink and I was sold! Check out her card by clicking here.

In pulling these elements together, I realized DSP was needed. I found the perfect neutral in the Night Before Christmas 6x6" DSP stack.

Before I knew it, my gratitude card, with touches of Delicata Golden Glitz metallic ink on the embossed frame and the sprigs, came together. I added an oval of vellum in the center of the frame...what do you think? Have the Delicata metallic inks become your favorites? Are you also in love with the Woven Heirloom dies and embossing folders? I'd love to hear what your favorite products currently are. I know I am grateful for these products!
