Hi Friends!
Welcome to our monthly Paper Crafting Blog Hop! This month we are sharing projects with December holiday theme. Each hop participant, talented Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators from around the world, created a December holiday project. Each month we share projects with various design styles. You may have arrived from
Julia Quinn's blog. I love her Merriest Moments project!
My project started with the A Wish for Everything stamp set because it has a wish for everything! I stretched myself a little by creating a Hanukkah card. I had never made one before and this stamp set not only had a Happy Hanukkah sentiment, it also comes with a greeting referring to the light of the menorah that works perfectly on the inside.

The stamp also has coordinating dies, Word Wishes, that not only work well for a Happy Hanukkah card, they are perfect for several other holidays and occasions. And the dies are 20% off during the Seasonal Sale - as are all the dies in the Annual catalog through Thursday, November 18th. Yay!

Word Wishes dies #149629 |
I incorporated the In Good Taste designer series paper (DSP) along with the scalloped die from the Penned Flowers dies (another die set that is included in the Season Sale at 20% off) and the hat image from the Snowman Builder punch to create a menorah.

For the candles, I used a swirly silvery pattern from the Peaceful Place DSP. I created the flames by die cutting Bumble Bee cardstock with the small and large leaves dies from the Cherry Blossom dies - more dies that are 20% off! I glued the candles and menorah in place before embossing the layer using the Tasteful Textile folder.
Actually this was my second Hanukkah card. When I made my first card, I had misplaced my Word Wishes dies. So I stamped Happy from the A Wish for Everything stamp set instead of using the die cut. I liked how it turned out. A few hours later I came across my Word Wishes dies. Of course I made a second card with Happy die cut.
Has that ever happened to you? You misplace a craft item, find a work-around, and come across the missing items soon after you no longer need it?
