Celebrating the 4th of July

Hi friends!

Hope you had a happy and safe independence day--I did!

I went to the parade my community has held every year since 1974; there were 76 entries this year!

The weather was great and we had a great time waving to everyone who passed by. Everyone loves a parade!

It certainly makes me proud of our country and the many freedoms we enjoy....I thought I'd share a few photos to give you a small taste of this wonderful parade. Enjoy!

The parade begins with the color guard and the grand marshall leading the way
Land of the free and home of the brave
The Grand Marshal Sue Norris, one of the founders of the parade in 1974

Our neighborhood was represented....

Our neighborhood swim team participated--that's my daughter with the sign
