Happy New Year! Desk calendar club news
Hello friends!
I hope you enjoyed the holidays and were able to spend time with friends and family--I did! I'm looking forward to 2014. I hope you and your family have a year filled with health and happiness.
Now it's time to get stamping!
The monthly hostess stamp club begins tomorrow, Friday January 3rd, 7-9pm. I'm offering the club on 3 dates each month to accommodate various schedules, choose the date that works best for you (RSVP please!). At each club meeting you'll make 2- 5.5x7" pages for a desk calendar (your choice 2014 or 2015) plus a card or other fun project. This month club members can make their calendar pages on Friday January 3 (7-9pm), Saturday January 4 (10am-12pm), or Thursday January 8 (7-9pm). This club meets for 6 months and club members receive hostess benefits -at least $25 in free products- once during the 6 months. Want to join the fun? Registration is $10 (to cover the cost of the calendar frame) and each member will place a minimum $25 order at each club meeting. I'll be assigning a Hostess code each month so members can place online orders through my website if they wish. The Hostess code for January is GERR6W6N.There is a long-distance option for the club calendar project. Place an order each month (via the hostess code or directly with me) and I'll mail you all the cardstock and embellishments for each calendar page; you supply your own ink, stamps, adhesives, and embossing folders/die cuts. There are a couple of spots available in this club, so don't wait. Contact me to sign up today!

Snowflake extravaganza
Hello friends!
I'm throwing a snowflake party! My customers love Stampin Up's Festive Flurry ornament kit...and what's not to love? All the pieces in the kit are printed and scored and it comes with enough supplies (except hot glue) to make 10 beautiful sparkly ornaments, all this for just $14.95!
This kit is the easy button for making lovely snowflakes!
I test drove the kit and was able to assemble all 10 in no time....then I used them to decorate! Check out these fabulous projects I made....
Plus, I made a garland for my cubicle that had my cube-mates oohing and awing (photo coming soon).

A fall tea at the Elkridge Furnance Inn
Hello friends!
I had a lovely time with a group of women friends enjoying an afternoon tea this past weekend. We are group of 10 women who enjoy having tea parties together; we have named ourselves the Tea Bees. The Tea Bee hive missed 3 Bees who weren't able to join us.
The venue was fabulous and the food was wonderful; and the tea was plentiful, perfect for the chilly day! We met at the beautiful historic Elkridge Furnace Inn. Our table was waiting for us with the menu tempting with the great food to come....
The scone was delicious but my favorite part was the homemade jam---truly the best jam I've ever tasted!
For the next course I chose the squash soup instead of the salad...excellent with just a hint of spicyness. Super yummy!
Then a plate of savories for each of us arrived....
And just when we thought it couldn't get any better, the desserts arrived....
All the good food and tea was made even better by the presence of good friends...
I had a small gift for each of the Bees. Since it was so close to Thanksgiving I wanted to let each one know I am thankful for their friendship. Of course, Stampin Up makes it easy to wrap packages that are functional but pretty, too! I whipped out my Tag a Bag kit and bags and in no time flat I had my small gifts wrapped...
Stamping is fun...and spending an afternoon with great friends, having tea is what life is all about!
I hope you are able to spend some time on Thanksgiving with people who touch your life and make it happier.
